We continue towards the Church of Purgatory, an example of Sicilian Baroque, where the foundations of settlements from the Punic, Roman and medieval periods are visible next to it. The walk ends on Via Garibaldi, where several wine shops bear witness to the city's winemaking vocation, famous throughout the world for its Marsala fortified wine. After the conclusion of the visit to the historic center, the participants go to the monumental complex of San Pietro for the visit of the Archaeological Section and the Garibaldina Section, witness to the Landing of the Thousand which took place in the city on May 11, 1860.
